For 125 mm Grinders (and some 115 mm models)

|
The C-Tec 125 mm cowl comprises a one-piece welded steel body, a bolt-on aluminium clamp and a depth-adjustable stainless steel base plate. The clamp is manufactured to be a precise fit on selected angle grinders. If you decide to change grinders, you can purchase an alternative clamp, thereby protecting your investment in the cowl. The 125 mm C-Tec is widely used for electrical and plumbing chases and for brick raking. Maximum cutting depth on a typical new blade is 27 mm; minimum depth setting is 8 mm.

For 180 mm Blades (180 & 230 mm Grinders)
|

|
The 180 mm C-Tec is of similar construction to the 125 mm version above, differing only in that it has a forward-hinged stainless steel skid, with cutting depth controllable on the rear adjustment strap. The more powerful 180 mm grinders will support twin-blade cutting, so a blade spacer option is offered. As before, the bolt-on clamp is engineered to be a precise fit on selected grinders and can be substituted for an alternative should you change grinder. Cutting depth up to 40 mm on a new 180 mm blade; minimum cutting depth 15 mm. Channel width settings at approx. 10, 20 & 30 mm, using the optional blade spacer kit.

For 230 mm Blades & Grinders
|
|
|
230 mm C-Tec’s are essentially a scaled-up version of the 125 mm design. In common with the 180 mm version, they are able to support twin-blade cutting. The same style of bolt-on clamp design is offered, thereby providing flexibility in choice of grinder at any stage during the life of the cowl. Cutting depth up to 40 mm on a new 230 mm blade; minimum cutting depth 15 mm. Channel width settings at approx. 10, 20 & 30 mm, using the optional blade spacer kit. As with the 180 mm version, an optional wheeled trolley is available.

C-Tec Options, Accessories and Consumables
|
|
|
|
|
The standard flange spanner provided with most grinders uses two location pins, hence a high risk of slipping and ensuing hand injuries. The PWM 4 pin Tuff Key flange spanner engages on both the manufacturer’s standard flange nut and the PWM custom items.
Custom flange nut sets are provided with C-Tec cowls to ensure the cutting blade is positioned centrally. The thickness of these flange nuts will vary, most notably where wider blades are used, as in brick pointing or crack chasing. Multi-blade spacer kits are available for 180 & 230 mm cowls

The C-Tec Trolley can be used with either the 180 or 230 mm C-Tec cowls and allows the user to control the cutting action whilst standing upright, which on long cutting operations, is vastly preferable to working in a bent-over or kneeling position. On-Off electrical controls are transferred to the trolley handle. The option to operate with single or twin blades is retained, as are the full range of depth control settings.
