Surface Prep

Three general techniques are employed in Concrete Surface Preparation – Planing or Scabbling, Diamond Grinding and Shotblasting. Sometimes a single method will suffice, other situations may require all three to be employed. 95% of Surface Preparation relates to concrete surfaces, but shotblasting is also used to clean steel decking.

CT200 Planer/Scabbler

Concrete Planing or Scabbling should be used where significant depths of concrete need to be removed or strong mechanical grip is required. Less aggressive cutters are used to clean or abrade surfaces with minimal material removal.

TV200 Industrial Dust Extractor

Dust Control and Dust Extraction are essential for Concrete Surface Preparation. Most methods produces high levels of dust and considerable waste. Uncontrolled dust is both a safety hazard and a nuisance. Capturing dust at source is the ideal solution and all PWM Surface Prep machines are designed with this as a primary objective

Omega Diamond Grinder

Concrete Diamond Grinding will create a smooth and flat surface. Material removal rates with Concrete Grinders are modest, typically less than 1 mm per pass. These machines will deliver highly finishes, such as on Terrazzo or Polished Concrete.

Dust Free Handheld Diamond Grinder

Dust Free Power Tools are used in small or difficult to access areas, for concrete cutting, concrete grinding, expansion joint cutting and edging.

Elephant Mobile Shotblaster

Shotblasting is an alternative method of removing coatings or keying a concrete surface. Since it generally follows the contours of the existing surface, subsequent diamond grinding may be required to provide flatness.

PWM X100 2

Mixing Systems range from the Handheld Mixer, through the Forced Action Mixer with a rotating drum and fixed paddles, to the Pan Mixers, with revolving blade clusters, suitable for screeds, epoxies and lime mortars.

Gas-powered Terminator Ride-on Floor Stripper

Vinyl, carpet and wood flooring, bitumen, epoxy resins or elastomeric coatings and some screed systems, can be removed using a Floor Stripper. These highly manoeuvrable machines will operate comfortably within buildings and partitioned offices

Application Tools, such as screed sledges, trowels and rollers, complete the range. Consumables for all machines and generic items such as Diamond Blades and Grinding disks are always available from stock.
